Günther Strobl

I am Günther and I am happy to welcome you here.
I was born in 1992 in Austria in the beautiful Waldviertel in Waidhofen / Thaya.

When I was 15 I decided to attend the hotel management school in Krems an der Donau. There I already had the chance to gain my first experience abroad with an internship at the Hilton Hotel in Malta. 
After graduating from school in 2009, I ended up in Tyrol and Italy and was able to build up my first bar experience.
In 2011 I landed  in the 5 *  Grand Hotel Les Trois Rois. There I was able to acquire in-depth knowledge and take part in the first competitions. Then I moved to London, the  City that  as  leading  Bar metropolis applies worldwide. I was allowed to participate in the reopening of the 5 * Hotel Shangri-La and work in the highest bar in Western Europe, the GONG Bar.
With the longing for nature and the mountains, I was drawn back to Switzerland.

In the CLOUDS Bar in the Prime Tower in Zurich, I was able to contribute my experience as Deputy Chef de Bar and win my first cocktail competitions.
In 2016 I was offered the chef de bar position at the Campari Bar in Basel.  My team and I were allowed to do so in 2017  are among the top 10 bars in Switzerland.


In April 2020, after more than 10 successful years behind the bar, I decided to change sides of the bar. I am currently working as Brand Ambassador at the Haecky Import AG

and I am jointly responsible for various spirits brands.
